Beijing Subway pt. 2: Lost Shoes

One of the more interesting propblems caused by the crowding of Beijing subway is that people appear to be losing shoes and unable to retrieve them back from the middle of the crowd. Fortunately the authorities have aknowledge this pressing problem and are maintaining a reserve of more than 200 replacement slippers in the stations to give lend them free of charge, so that the people who lost their shoes in the morning rush wouldn’t be late for work.

We at MY Chinese Study applaud the subway authorities on their swift reaction to the problem and good service, but if someone knows how it is possible to lose your shoes from your feet while standing in a subway train, please let us know.
